Volkswagen Group Night - International Motor Show Frankfurt 2011

Modern-day sustainability made by Volkswagen

The Volkswagen Group stands for diversity and modern-day sustainability. The Group brands demonstrated that at yesterday’s Group Night in Frankfurt. Under the motto “Driving Diversity”, Europe’s largest automaker put on an exceptional show presenting IAA innovations from Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, and Škoda.

Talking to some 2,000 guests from 43 countries, Martin Winterkorn said: “This evening showcases the diversity of our brands, our models and the optimum solutions for our customers. People want to live and act responsibly and that holds equally true with respect to the key issue of mobility. That means: Beautiful design with no gimmicky window dressing, total driving pleasure but low consumption, big emotions but small emissions. The Volkswagen Group offers all that with a diversity no other automaker can match.

This evening also shows that sustainability is more than just a buzzword for us and that we follow a clear principle in this respect: Sustainability cannot and must not mean making compromises! Like no other manufacturer we offer modern-day sustainability that is fun to look at, fun to drive and fun to fill the fuel tank, that is suitable for everyday use and affordable, that can be found in every segment and that covers the entire spectrum from efficient combustion engines to hybrids and electric cars.”
