ŠKODA cars are ‘Simply Clever’ and represent superior functionality and everyday practicality, a larger-than-average interior and excellent value for money. With a current portfolio of seven passenger car model series, ŠKODA is represented in all the main vehicle segments and is active in more than 100 markets.
After successfully launching the ŠKODA KODIAQ, the company’s first large SUV with up to seven seats, the brand is continuing its SUV series with the compact ŠKODA KAROQ. The new car celebrated its market launch at the end of 2017.
Over the course of 2017, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA and other models were presented with redesigned front and rear sections and state-of-the-art innovations for driver assistance, infotainment and connectivity, as well as other new features.
ŠKODA is making future mobility part of everyday life. Electric vehicles play a key role in the company’s global growth strategy. The company’s first purely electric concept study ŠKODA VISION E is due to go into production in 2020. In addition to electric cars, electrical components for plug-in hybrid models of several Volkswagen Group brands will be manufactured in the Mladá Boleslav plant starting in 2019. ŠKODA’s first electrified series production model, the ŠKODA SUPERB with plug-in hybrid drive, will be launched in 2019. This will be followed by the first purely battery-powered model, which will go into production in Mladá Boleslav in 2020.
