Travel radar

Living infotainment – proactive orientation

Compared with conventional navigation systems, the “travel radar” offers individualized journey tracking and an adapted map presentation. The travel radar facilitates orientation, offers in-depth information and features a fascinating novel operating technology that turns the entire journey into a fun experience.

One particular feature of the travel radar is the tidied up design of the map display. The driver’s own route and important roads are highlighted, with other roads fading into the background. Displaying landscape features with a high recognition value gives the driver a good feeling for his own position. Navigation is simplified by the visual orientation points, and confidence in the navigation instructions increases.

With the travel radar, the personal interests of the passenger gain new significance for the current journey through the targeted selection and presentation of individual information and functions.

The symbols in the display provide information on restaurants, leisure activities and shopping opportunities as well as locating friends en route. They can even be programmed to provide detailed information and immediately define the object in question as the new destination. The travel radar thus adds a new dimension to navigation by providing access to a networked environment.
