Health and Safety at Work Prize for Volkswagen Bank
The exemplary health management of the financial service provider is resulting in a continuous improvement in health.
Volkswagen Bank has won the Health and Safety at Work Prize of the Administrative Employers’ Liability Insurance Hamburg (VBG) in the category “Company Health Management and Health Promotion”. In the opinion of the panel of experts, the financial service provider from Braunschweig is pursuing an exemplary systematic and comprehensive approach in health promotion with its innovative and sustainable concept for health management.
In addition to maintaining the ability to work and perform and promoting satisfaction with work, Volkswagen Bank’s health management also puts the focus on improving the productivity of the staff. For example, a staged concept for absences, health campaigns on prevention and information events on health themes contain relevant packages of measures. The well-founded implementation of the “Health Management as a Corporate Duty” project has been worthwhile for the company management and employees. The health rate within the company has risen continuously since establishment of the concept in 2002. For example, in areas where work situation analyses have been carried out, sickness has been reduced by an average of 50 per cent – a trend that is being followed in the other departments.
