Peter Mohr new plant manager in Argentina
Peter Mohr (49) assumes responsibility for the Volkswagen plant in Pacheco (Argentina) with effect from April 1, 2007. Mohr has been Technical Managing Director at Auto 5000 in Wolfsburg since 2005. His responsibilities there will be taken over as planned by Thomas Ulbrich (40), who has shared technical management with Mohr for the last two years.
An engineering graduate, Mohr began his career with the Volkswagen Group at Audi AG in 1982. Having held various responsible posts in Industrial Engineering, he moved to Volkswagen’s Hanover plant in 1993 where he was, inter alia, responsible for the Transporter product line. He transferred to Volkswagen Navarra, Spain, as Production Manager in 2002.
In Argentina, the present Plant Manager Nestor Pacheco (58) will take on the management of a vehicle project. The plant with its workforce of 2,200 builds versions of the Polo and Caddy as well as the Volkswagen Suran for the local market
