SEAT gets the go ahead from supervisory board
Volkswagen AG has given Spanish car manufacturer SEAT the green light to adopt a series of shortterm measures to guarantee the future of the brand. Some of these measures include extending the model range to provide access to new market segments. One of the featured novelties is the future launch of a new sports saloon car (B1), which comes as a response by SEAT to address customer needs and grow the current range.
With Volkswagen’s support, SEAT can widen its range, attract new customers and strengthen the sales network’s sales capacity.
The Spanish Prime Minister’s collaboration last Thursday at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the future Design Centre in Martorell is further proof of SEAT’s consolidation, given that it will be Spain’s only integrated design centre dedicated to the automotive sector.
For SEAT President, Erich Schmitt, “these decisions reveal the Volkswagen AG Group’s confidence
in our SEAT brand. We must strive to focus all our upcoming efforts in order to create a brilliant
future for all our employees, sales force and shareholders”.
