SEAT was founded on May, 9, 1950 as the first car manufacturer in Spain. Throughout its 70-year history, the company has demonstrated that it is capable of reinventing itself time and again and successfully overcoming challenges. SEAT has harnessed the power of change to transform itself from a pure car manufacturer into a robust technology and industrial company. SEAT is the Group brand with Europe’s youngest customer profile.

SEAT currently offers models from the most efficient, traditional combustion powertrains to mild and plug-in hybrids as well as engines with compressed natural gas. The brand recently launched the SEAT Leon e-HYBRID and SEAT Tarraco e-HYBRID, has also presented refreshed models of its iconic Arona and Ibiza. Both vehicles feature a modern, digital interior with a more extensive infotainment system, improved voice recognition and new connectivity solutions, with more driver assistance systems and a wide range of efficient engines also available.

In a move beyond traditional cars, SEAT created SEAT MÓ, its business unit that develops and pushes the company’s micromobility strategy, which focuses on electric products and services; and SEAT CODE, its software development centre in Barcelona.
