Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles: 48,600 vehicles delivered in May (+12.7 per cent)
- 209,600 worldwide deliveries from January to May
- 16.3 per cent growth rate in Western Europe

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles delivered 48,600 vehicles in May worldwide. That is 12.7 per cent more than in May 2017. Customer demand in Western and Eastern Europe and South America in particular contributed to this good result. A total of 209,600 vehicles of the brand were delivered to customers all over the world between January and the end of May – an increase of 2.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.
In Western Europe 33,800 vehicles were delivered in May (+16.3 per cent). Of this figure, the German home market accounted for 13,200 vehicles (+16.7 per cent). In Italy 1,500 vehicles were handed over to customers (+50.9 per cent), in Spain the figure was 1,700 vehicles (+38.8 per cent), in the United Kingdom 4,000 vehicles (+27.0 per cent) and in France 1,800 vehicles (+5.3 per cent).
In Eastern Europe, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles handed over 3,800 vehicles (+11.9 per cent) to customers in May.
The brand also achieved growth in deliveries made in South America (+15.5 per cent to 4,100 vehicles), Africa (14.4 per cent to 1,400 vehicles) and in the Asia-Pacific region (+9.9 per cent to 2,500 vehicles).
Overview of worldwide vehicle deliveries in May by model range:
• 22,300 vehicles from the T-model range (18,500; +20.9 per cent)
• 14,000 vehicles from the Caddy range (14,600; -4.5 per cent)
• 7,400 vehicles from the Amarok range (6,600; +13.3 per cent)
• 4,900 vehicles from the Crafter range (3,500; +40.3 per cent)
A total of 209,600 vehicles (+2.3 per cent) were delivered in the first five months of the year. Western Europe: 144,600 vehicles (+1.0 per cent), Eastern Europe: 16,400 vehicles (+4.6 per cent), South America: 18,800 vehicles (+19.3 per cent), Africa: 6,800 vehicles (+32.1 per cent), Asia-Pacific region: 10,200 vehicles (+7.9 per cent).
