For company drivers, the benefits of a plug-in hybrid are obvious: Firstly, they allow fully electric driving, for example when commuting to work. Secondly, they can also be used for unplanned longer journeys, for example when travelling to an appointment with a customer. It is hardly surprising that SEAT has now added an e-hybrid version of its compact all-rounder the Leon Sportstourer to the range: it can cover more than 70 kilometres in electric mode and over 800 kilometres in hybrid mode (both in accordance with WLTP)1).
1)Range determined on the chassis dynamometer for the version of the SEAT Leon Sportstourer 1.4 e-Hybrid DSG 150 kW (net battery energy content 12.8 kWh) with optimum range in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP). The actual WLTP range figures can vary depending on the vehicle's equipment. In practice, the actual range also varies depending on driving style, speed, use of comfort/ancillary features, ambient temperature, number of passengers/loading and topography.
