A milestone: "Simply My Truck"

The new MAN truck generation sets standards in driver orientation, assistance systems and digital networking – and consumes up to eight percent less fuel. A significant CO₂ reduction!

Customers and drivers have been involved from the outset in development of the new truck generation. So "Simply my Truck" is not just a claim, but the decisive basis for development of the new MAN truck generation. To design the ideal workplace and living space in the truck, MAN developers presented various prototype solutions to over 700 drivers. Their feedback and personal wishes were incorporated directly into the new trucks. In addition, 300 customers from a total of 16 countries were invited to attend workshops in Munich to define the most important requirements for a new vehicle. The developers implemented this valuable input into the countless innovative features of the new MAN truck generation.

The best, holistic transport solution on the market

"Excellent driver fit" means to MAN that all truck functions, operation and driving must be as simple and efficient as possible. A completely new cab and tailor-made interior with perfect ergonomics, whether at work or during breaks, as well as plenty of storage space, make the driver the focus of the new MAN truck. Further highlights include innovative and intuitive operating concepts, such as the MAN SmartSelect system that is as yet unique in a commercial vehicle, or new safety and assistance systems like the radar-based turning aid. The newly developed turning aid helps to avoid serious accidents in urban traffic – four years before its legally prescribed introduction. The lane change assistant warns the driver of vehicles in adjoining lanes.

Under the slogan "great efficiency & economy", the new MAN truck generation impresses with up to eight percent less fuel consumption. This is made possible by the new Euro6 engine family, which was introduced in 2019 and in conjunction with other components of the newly designed drive train will develop its full efficiency in the future series. The aerodynamically perfected vehicle design and various driver assistance systems are also available to help the driver achieve an even more efficient driving style.

A key point for a carrier is the availability of their truck. MAN promises "optimised up-time" for the new series, among other things due to the completely redeveloped electronic architecture and digital MAN ServiceCare solution. The trucks continuously transmit digital condition and performance data to the proactive maintenance management system, so they can be called to the workshop early before a fault occurs. MAN ServiceCare equally supports fleet managers, drivers and MAN service centres in the best possible scheduling for maintenance and service.

The new generation of vehicles is more than ever the "strong partner" for its customers. To convey the more than 100-year-old commercial vehicle competence in a more personal way, MAN Sales is introducing a newly developed consulting and offer system. This is completely geared to the customer's requirements and guarantees a vehicle tailored precisely to their needs and transport task. MAN Individual realises conversions and installations that go beyond the extensive ex-factory portfolio. New digital services are being added and will be continuously expanded in the future. MAN will also continue its award-winning customer support programme to keep its finger on the pulse of its customers. They can rely on nearly 1700 service centres in 138 countries.
