Collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum

What links arts with technology? The Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) answers this question in exciting ways, while the world's leading museum for decorative arts and design demonstrates through its 'Learning Academy' programme a strong dedication to educational work. The Volkswagen Group supports the V&A as partner for the 'Engineering Season' project, which made the institution the first design museum to highlight the artistic aspect of technical developments. Our support enabled the V&A also to invite visitors of the Architecture Biennale in Venice to their exhibition 'Fragile Parts'. For the first time, audiences received insights into the meaning of art copies which, due to technical progress, are reaching new levels of quality and which, in light of the increasing threats to our artistic heritage, play an important role in the appreciation of art in future generations.
